Fiestaware

My grandmother Marilyn and her husband Verl recently moved from a full-size house to an apartment, and both decided it was time to scale back by giving away some of their belongings.  Marilyn wrote a detailed list to both her children and grandchildren asking us what items we would like.  I casually mentioned that I would like some of Marilyn's Fiestaware pieces to add to my own collection, thinking I might get one or two items since a) I was under the impression there were a number of family members who would like this collection, and b) Marilyn lives in LA and we live in Waco.  How would we ever get them to Texas?

So you can imagine my surprise when I found out I would be receiving the bulk of the collection via my Uncle Billy, who would be driving a u-haul from LA to Georgia, thereby dropping off various items to family members along the way.   Turns out that many of the family members were interested in different items, freeing up the fiestaware for the Wallace family.

Here are the pieces we received last night:

It felt like Christmas, opening the boxes and pulling out each carefully wrapped piece.

Thank you so much, Grandma!  These dishes will be well-used and loved!!!
